Springfield IL Area Chapter, Association for Women
in Communications
The Association for Women in Communications, Springfield Chapter,
seeks promising communications students for its annual scholarship
award. The $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a junior, senior or graduate-level college
student majoring in
communications, journalism, public relations or related fields and
have an above-average GPA (2.5 or above on a scale of 4.0). The award symbolizes
the commitment of the Association for Women in Communications,
Springfield Chapter, to education and continuing high
professional standards for the communications industry.
The deadline to submit application and all required
information for the 2008 scholarship award has passed. Please check
back for details on the 2009 application deadline.

Amber
Krosel is this year's recipient of the Springfield IL AWC
Scholarship Award.
Amber will receive her master’s degree in public affairs
reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield in
May. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Bradley
University. She is currently a Statehouse reporting intern
with the Arlington Heights Daily Herald, Springfield
bureau.
